The HFP pilot is risk-free, you won't pay more for your charging than your current rate. After 12 and 24 months of participating, you will receive lump sum bill credits for your annual savings.
More details
The HFP pilot uses hourly energy market prices, which vary based on supply and demand on the grid. Once enrolled, ev.energy will maximize your savings by automatically charging your EV during the cheapest hours. You continue to pay your PG&E bill as you normally would, while PG&E and ev.energy calculate how much you are saving by charging on HFP compared to your current rate. *The $200 annual savings claim is based on aggregated real-world charging data from thousands of EVs on the ev.energy platform in northern California, and EV2 time-of-use rate prices in 2024. Actual savings vary.
